The flight was welcomed with an official ceremony at Israel's international Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv.

"This is a historic moment -- a first commercial flight between Dubai and Israel," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the ceremony.

In October, an Etihad flight from Abu Dhabi landed in Tel Aviv, marking the first commercial passenger flight from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) landing in Israel.

In September, the UAE and Bahrain signed normalization deals with Israel during a ceremony at the White House.
