Usually just called "Guomao", this three-level mall caters to foreign business travelers and expatriate families. The ground level of Guomao contains airline offices, American Express, a food court, and the first (but now far from only) Starbucks in Beijing. There are also boutique stores such as Louis Vuitton and Jack&Jones, an Olé Supermarket and a specialty wine shop.

China World Trade Shopping Center is one of the ritziest malls in Beijing, and it is attached to the equally luxurious China World Hotel. The mall is home to elite international brands such as Moschino, Prada, Cartier, Chloe, Christian Dior, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, Fendi, Celine and Hermes. For those who don’t own small islands in the Pacific, there’s a good selection of popularly priced fashion apparel shops.

A Watson’s chemist, a Valentino Chocolatier, a Sephora and the fun Dutch home decor shop Potato@Co. all find homes here, as do a clutch of mid-range men’s and women’s clothing shops such as Esprit and Nine West. Prices are at least as expensive as back home. For quality souvenirs, check out Tian Fu, a branch of the famous Chinese tea sellers, or Emperor, which sells silk bedding and table linens. The Le Cool ice skating rink is in the basement.

Guomao has held 4,000 exhibitions and 4,700 meetings with both domestic and international counterparts since its opening in 1990, among which there have been more than 400 upscale events attended by domestic and foreign government ministers.

It has also welcomed many heads of state, officers of international organizations, businessmen, and other famous people.

China World Hotel in Guomao has received much praise for its good service and has been selected as one of the best global hotels for many years.
