The award winning National Wetland Centre Wales is situated on the northern shore of the Burry inlet, with stunning views over the estuary and Gower. Whether you're a serious bird watcher or looking for a fun family day out, there is plenty to enjoy come rain or shine!

Set in a 450 acre mosaic of lakes, pools and lagoons, the Wetland Centre is a haven for some of the world's most spectacular birds, many of which are rare or endangered species. The centre is home to countless wild species as diverse as dragonflies, oystercatchers, pintails, shovelers and little egrets amongst others, along with our resident ducks, geese, swans and flamingos...many so tame they feed from the hand!

Highly recommended for a family day out, with different arts & crafts and seasonal activities, such as pond dipping, during weekends and school holidays. Bike trails and canoe safaris available during the summer months. Pedal through 200 untamed acres of ponds, lagoons and meadows in the Millennium Wetlands, or spot a water vole as you glide through the reeds in one of our Canadian canoes.

Our Estuary Cafe is the perfect place to unwind, with panoramic views over the Gower peninsula. Sit back and watch the birds feeding outside as you enjoy delicious home cooked food, or a tempting afternoon tea and homemade cake! The cafe is fully licensed should you wish to enjoy an alcoholic beverage amidst stunning wildlife scenery.

Take a moment before you leave to browse our onsite giftshop, with a large array of beautiful souvenirs and WWT products.

Excellent access throughout, ample free parking for cars and coaches. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters available free of charge (booking recommended). Group discounts and guided tours available on request.
