The memorial hall that displays photos of late Chinese leaders' visits to Heilongjiang, including that of late Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai, is an elegant European style architecture with unique artistic characteristics in both appearance and interior decoration.

In 1986, the site was listed as a heritage conservation unit of the province and a first class protected architecture in the city of Harbin. It was approved as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council in 1996.
