Highlights: Hulan river mouth wetland scenic area located at the junction of the Hulan River and Sungari River, 32 kilometers by waterway and 40 kilometers by land route. As the top recreational harbor on Sungari River, this wetland is regarded as a crucial node and area in the North Leap Strategy of Harbin. Till now, there are 360 big trees, more than 3000 saplings and shrubs in the wetland, cover an area of 3600 square meters, and there are 1.2 million willows. The construction of entrance, parking lot, Ferry berth and entrance restroom, ticket house have already been done. Stars Island food and beverage service area covers more than 60,000 square meters, and within it, there are one Tourist food and beverage service center, five specialty catering villa, one Performing Arts Plaza and Xinjiang characteristic barbecue square, in addition, there are four Ferry berth and 65 sightseeing boat on Stars Island. On the 40,000-square-meter Sun and Moon square, there are one centre pier, tourist supermarket, cold drinks hall, and scenic area exhibition hall. This Wetland was open to the public since June 10.
11. Qunli National Urban Wetland Park

Highlights: The park covers 34.2 hectare. The concept of “life cell” has been brought into design; that is to say, the whole park will be conceived as a big cell. To prevent the interruption from urban noise, traffic, and population, the designer set up a planting forest Combined with trees and shrubs as the “Cell Wall”. The original wetland is regarded as the “Cell nucleus”; and those bubble like artificial wetlands are regarded as “Cell bubbles”, which provide nutrition for original wetland. In the meanwhile, the park refined biodiversity and replant wetland plants, to make sure that the wetland park could achieve the state of self regulation and restoration. Now, orpin flower, Irises, Pink, Begonia and other 53 species of terrestrial flowers; Cattails, water hyacinth, water chestnut, water lily and other 11 kinds of aquatic flowers and plants; more than ten thousand of trees and shrubs, have all been planted successfully. Citizens can visit the national wetland park for free from now on.
