Attractions: The Dragon Tower is a national AAAA scenic spot, located at No10, Changjiang Road, Nangang district, downtown Harbin. The construction of the Dragon Tower started in April 1998, and was opened on October 29, 2000. It has a total area of 16,600 square meters, with 13,000 square meters at the base, with one floor underground and four floors overground, and 3,600 square meters at the top platform. It has a height of 336 meters, making it the tallest iron tower in Asia and the second tallest one in the world. The Dragon Tower is a complex of tourism, restaurant, entertainment, broadcasting, telecommunication and environment & weather monitoring. As a landmark in Heilongjiang Province, the Dragon Tower has both a delicate shape and rich and colorful tourist resources inside: a dinosaur exhibition, 4-D theater, Confucian Classroom, wax figure gallery, UFO restaurant at a height of 186 meters, open sight-seeing platform at a height of 190 meters, Jin Dynasty Culture Exhibition at a height of 203 meters and a praying hall at a height of 206 meters. All these make the Dragon Tower an exciting tourist spot. On the open sight-seeing platform at 190 meters, you can see the whole city clearly, no matter whether it’s day or evening.
