Sichuan Science and Technology Museum is located at the back of Tianfu Square in downtown Chengdu, covering an area of about 60,000 square meters, with building areas of 41,800 square meters.

It is rebuilt from the original Sichuan Province Exhibition Museum and is a large-scale comprehensive popular science building covering many varied aspects. The permanent exhibition area in the museum covers 25,000 square meters.

From the first to the fourth floors, it is designed with 20 exhibition rooms and about 600 exhibition items related to math, mechanics, acoustics, optics, electromagnetism, machinery, energy, materials, aerospace, robotics, virtual world, information society, geography, ecology and environment, life sciences, an adolescent science park, a crazy science show, a robot office, Dujiang Dam, and the Ertan and Jiuzhaigou Yellow Dragon Scenic Area.

The exhibition items draw from science, knowledge, interests, participation and arts, vividly popularizing science and technology to the public with the help of sound, light, electricity and other modern display methods.
