Another interesting offering from husband and wife team David Lentz and Suzanne Goin, The Hungry Cat was created for people who, like cats, are ravenous for fresh seafood. Cherry wood furniture complements a tall purple wall, creating just the right amount of funky for this sort of restaurant, and the warm, open patio is a lure all its own. Plenty of the food options here are flown in fresh from the East Coast daily, to provide a seafood experience that’s not quite like any other so close to the Pacific. Some favorite selections here include the braised clams and chorizo, and the platter of raw clams on ice; and don’t forget to save room for the chocolate bread pudding.
