Just minutes from the city centre lies nature's playground. Drive for 20 rugged kilometres along the beach, over rocks, around the bays and headlands, with the ocean lapping the 4WD trucks.

To get to the 'Seal Coast' you'll travel through private land, not accessible by the public, in powerful, off-road vehicles. Stories abound as we drive for 20 rugged kilometers along the beach, over rocks and across small rivers, to Tongue Point - home to a colony of amazing New Zealand fur seals.

See animals including ostriches, wild goats and deer. Marvel at the snow-capped mountains of the South Island, and take in stunning panoramic views from the highest lookout in Wellington.

Enjoy tea, coffee and a muffin with the seals and take in the beauty of their natural habitat, experiencing the crashing waves and the famous Leaning Lighthouse.

Listen to local stories and relax before the homeward journey around the bays and past the spectacular Red Rocks.

Seal Coast Safari has been providing guests with exhilarating, exclusive access to the best scenery in Wellington for over 15 years.

A Qualmark endorsed visitor activity with seals guaranteed all year round; this truly is a New Zealand nature experience not to be missed.
