Classified as a historic building, this cathedral is the largest and oldest edifice of this type outside Russia.
Inspired by the Muscovite style, it has a very richly decorated interior with many icons, murals and carved woodwork as well as an iconostasis of embossed metal. Free entrance between 9am and midday and from 2pm to 4pm. The primary vocation of this site being a place of worship, certain rules must be respected. Entrance to the cathedral may be refused if these principles are not respected. Men will not be admitted bare-chested or in shorts. For women mini-skirts or shorts are not allowed, shoulders should be covered and it is preferable to cover one's head.
