Mid July by the lunar calendar means the high peak season of farming, as you know the terms "makes summer.” On the other hand, 'Rambling through July' and 'Fast-running August' terms means too busy situation ahead harvest months and also contains the enjoyment that can rest for a short while. In mid July by the lunar calendar, a farmhouse set a rich breakfast table and gave some pocket money and holidays to the farmhands and workers. This is called "in mid July by the lunar calendar we receive money" and calms down the exhausting farm work as the play of mid July.
Mandri Festival starts from the weeding work of heavy-duty farmhands at 6,000㎡ field in front of Seochang Folk Culture Town. When the heading instrument player of folk music playing group beats a drum, a janggu and a gong in front of the line, heavy-duty farmhands follow a boaster and sing the back sound according to the previous sound and wish for fruitful farming. After the weeding work, heavy-duty farmhands follow the folk music playing group and come back into the town on a bull's back after going around the field. In the town, after inhabitants, heavy-duty farmhands and folk music playing group have a big banquet all together, they end the climax.
