The beautiful plaza made of granite and concrete plaza promoted as a business for developing a housing site in Sangmu district from 1994. It was selected as a public participation business of green fund hosted by Korea Forest Service in last 2007. Government and city input a total of 8.9 billion won(KRW) and enlarged the area as a plaza where a forest and water and light meet , and was called Pyeonghwa Park (Peace Park).
Pyeonghwa (peace) Park is an open place for the citizens decorated with natural rock, Byeockcheon, which is embodiment of Ipseokdae (standing rocks) in mountain Mudeung, and forests.
It is popular for field trips of Kindergarteners during the day and a resting area for the citizens in Sang-Mu district at night time.
