Gwangju LakeEco Park gives the feeling of being buried into a landscape of paintings. A wooden bridge and a field of reeds are connected. A field for learning about nature, a grass resting square, an area of wild flowers and an ecological pond are all very beautiful. We can experience the forest of reeds in the lakeside swampy land. There is an esplanade and a swamp observatory established around the flower area.

There is a biotope, an ecological space where we can observe the habitation and movement of wild animals. We can observe worms, and animals such as frogs, toads, snails, leeches, elks, roes and otters. There is a big rock on Gwangju lake when we look at it from the Eco Park. That rock is called Nojaam Rock. Several rocks face us around Nojaam Rock. They are dolmens that were unearthed when Gwangju lake was discovered. A reconstructed stone waterway made of clay pipe at Hwanbyeokdang shrine is worth seeing. Gwangju Lake Eco Park is a resting placeand a place for observing nature for all citizens.
