There's different types of vehicle without driver to hire in Paris: cars and camping cars You can hire a car or a camper for one day, several days, a month or more.
As soon as you arrive at one of the airports or train stations in Paris, you’ll come across a number of car hire firms, either national or international. Each rental company offers a range of vehicles of various categories available at its different branches, usually open from Monday to Saturday.
In the vicinity of train stations and at airports, these agencies are often open Sunday and holidays too. Companies have a network of offices throughout France which often allows you to return your hire car at your destination.
Each company has its own terms and conditions of hire, but French regulations impose three requirements:
• Age: 21 years old and minimum one-year licence-holder
• Presentation of valid driving licence
• Presentation of a credit card
Some types of insurance are compulsory, details of which are included in the price quoted, others are optional.
Customers’ discount cards for certain brands may be valid in France, although the advantages they offer might be different (upgrade, special promotions….) - it is advisable to check first.
