Rome by Night demands soaking up the atmosphere in one of the city’s most elegant streets, Via Veneto, symbol of the heady days in the Sixties of “La Dolce Vita”. Made famous worldwide by Federico Fellini’s award-winning film, the Via Veneto is flanked by elegant restaurants for a sophisticated evening-out.
A stroll downhill to Piazza Barberini then takes us to the exquisite Fountain of Triton, commissioned by the Barberini Pope Urban VIII, it is the 1643 work of the great Baroque Sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
