The founder of Elenidis patisserie, who was a Greek immigrant from Pontos, he opened a milk shop in the area of Panorama. After experimentation, 1960 he discovered a recipe of the creation of crunchy pastry funnels, soaked in syrup and filled with fine cream. These were know as Elenidis triangles or Panorama triangles (Trigona Panoramatos). Today the founders progenies, still bake "trigona" with the same original recipe. Soon they became famous nationwide and they still are one of the local temptations. Thus Panorama triangles are very popular gift away from the Thessalonikians.
