Dalian Natural History Museum is located at the front of Heishijiao Beach and covers an area of 15,000 square meters. It is surrounded on three sides by sea and rocks. It has over 100,000 specimens of plants, animals, palaeobios, rocks and ores. The museum features various kinds of large marine mammals. There are 11 exhibition halls featuring the earth, dinosaurs, marine organisms, northeast forest animals, wetland and the diversity of species.
