Donghu Vinegar Garden is located at No. 26 Madaopo, which lies between the Dongshan Expressway and Jianshe North Road in Taiyuan. Occupying an area of more than 20,000 square meters, Donghu Vinegar Garden is the first corporate and industrialized museum that demonstrates traditional and modern mature vinegar production processes and the historic and cultural connotation of mature vinegar in a dynamic manner in Shanxi which is most famous for its mature vinegar.

In the Exhibition Hall and Vinegar Therapy Garden of Donghu Vinegar Garden, a wide variety of vinegar brewing utensils, farming tools and over 700 vinegar therapy prescriptions have been respectively collected showing the history and culture of Shanxi mature vinegar by means of its exhibits, documents, pictures and product displays. Approaching the pseudo-classical architecture and Ju Cu Fang Workshop, your nose will be overwhelmed by the approaching sour and fragrant mature vinegar smell. On entering the antique Mei He Ju Vinegar Workshop, it seems that you have come to an old mature vinegar workshop of 500 years ago. The mature vinegar smells sweet and is unforgettable. In the workshop, you will have a full view of the production process of the mature vinegar that consists of “steaming, brewing, smoking, leaching and drying”. You can also join in part of the production process or taste the “soft, sour, sweet, aromatic and fresh” mature vinegar to your heart’s content.
