"A Thread of Sky" with its 1,338-meter main peak, is located in a valley in the north of Wangfeng Township in the western suburb of Taiyuan. The place is surrounded by mountains, and it’s indeed a steep and quiet valley that few people set foot in, except for a few travelers.

As a world of stones, a great number of large rocks jointly constitute an extraordinary natural landscape. The small path with a width of less than 2 meters is the only way through, and foot prints of animals can be seen from time to time. Huge stones on both sides of the magnificent mountains are like jagged teeth of behemoths, which add an air of mystery to the quiet valley and arouse people’s imagination. If you look up, you can only see a thread of sky between the stones and a few streaks of sunshine through vegetation at the top of the mountain, which throw shadows on the green plants between the rocks, and make the brilliant yellow mountain flowers even more fascinating.
