The Villa des Arts is situated between the busy Mäarif quarter and the peaceful Arab League Park. It holds temporary exhibitions of the work of contemporary Moroccan artists. This elegant building has been successfully restored. It promotes the work of contemporary Moroccan artists and, through its exhibitions, has become a fully-fledged museum of modern art.
The Jewish Museum of Casablanca, installed further south, illustrates the long history of Jewish community in Morocco and, particularly, in Casablanca. The recently reorganized museum exhibits collections of liturgical objects and traditional Jewish clothing. The interior of a synagogue has been recreated there too.
