The Huxiyan Rock is located southwest of the Wanshiyan (万石岩). There are many holes in the rock, including the Tiger's Teeth Hole, Moon Night Hole, etc. The best time to pay a visit here is at night when the moon is full, and when the whole rock, together with the temple, is supposedly enveloped in mystery. 'Watching the moon at Huxiyan' is also considered one of the 'Eight Major Sights' in Xiamen.
