China Mt Yuntai International Mountaineering Challenge is co-hosted by the Mountaineering Administration Center of China’s General Administration of Sports, Chinese Mountaineering Association, Henan Administration of Sports, Henan Tourism Bureau and Jiaozuo municipal government.

This mountaineering event is held every year and is divided into groups like professional youth (18 to 45-year-old), professional middle aged (46 to 60-year-old) and the amateurs group, with the race distance 24 kilometers of about 1,600 stairs, 9.9 kilometers of 6,700 stairs and 4.9 kilometers of 5,900 stairs respectively. The participants amount to 2,000.

Some scenic spots of Mt Yuntai like Bajia Rock, Wanshan Temple and Zhuyu Peak are designed as the challenge’s courses, so as to make this event more exciting. The mountaineers could appreciate the beautiful sceneries and unique charms of Mt Yuntai during the challenge.
