No wonder Plovdiv was included under #6 in famous Lonely Planet's “Best in Travel 2015”. In addition, after a rivalry with world's largest winemaking countries like France, Italy, Argentina and others, Plovdiv will host the “Concours Mondial de Bruxelles” in 2016. In the period 29th April – 1st May 2016 300 renowned wine tasters of proven expertise will assess the qualities of wines from 58 countries.

In addition to all the efforts put in promoting Plovdiv, the people from the City Hall organize a special event – International Meeting of Tourism (IMT - www.imt.visitplovdiv.com). It presents Plovdiv as an attractive tourist destination as well as the various options for tourism in the city and the region. Main part of the event is the B2B meetings where the participants exchange contacts, experience and have the opportunity to set the start of joint projects. Along with hundreds of participants, representatives of Discovery Networks, the European Tour Operators Association, BBC, Global Travel Investment and British American Media also joined us.
