Founded in Auguststrasse in 2006 Berlin Art Projects works closely with emerging artists. The gallery supports and promotes primarily recent art school graduates during the important stage of entry into the art world and accompanies them along their way. Another important emphasis is the focus on contemporary artists from Berlin and Istanbul.
Artists such as Yasam Sasmazer, Ulrich Riedel, Ismail Necmi, Claudia Vitari, Jörg Lohse and Meike Zopf are regular fixtures in the exhibition schedule and have shaped the gallery’s overall profile and program. The range of media shown includes sculpture, installation, painting and photography.
In September 2011, Berlin Art Projects moved to its new space in the M33 courtyard on Mehringdamm. Berlin Art Projects consults regularly with internationally respected curators among others. The gallery participates in respected international art fairs. Approximately six exhibitions are planned and implemented every year.
