Ikat cloth is the traditional dyed cloth of Bai people of Zhoucheng township, Dali city. Using dried indigo as the dye, local people tie the cloth into various patterns such as “the eight diagrams”, “butterfly”, “reflection of the three pagodas”, and “plum blossom”. The cloth is dipped into the dye over ten times.
Pseudo-ginseng (sanqi) can be found all over Wenshan More than 90 percent (2,000-hectare) of Wenshan’s planting area used for the production of this precious medicinal herb.
Bronze manufacturing has a long history in Kunming. Kunming had a bronze culture with distinct ethnic features as early as the Warring States period and the Western Han Dynasty. This wonderful local craft and special arts style was created in Kunming district.
