Irish photographer Richard Mosse has been nominated for his picture The Enclave, in which he documents a haunting landscape that has witnessed terrible tragedy in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Lorna Simpson from the USA has been selected for her work that links photography, text and video installations. The chosen works by Germany’s Jochen Lempert are a curious mix of the scientific, the poetic and the humorous.
