Held from late 28 June through to 31 August 2014, the Robeco SummerNights series is an integral part of Amsterdam's summer cultural calendar pushing the boundaries with classical concerts, swinging jazz and lively pop offerings.

Sizzling SummerNight highlights

Legendary Dutch band De Dijk kick off this year’s series and acclaimed soloists including Christian Zacharias, Simon Trpceski and Janine Jansen are all on the line-up. Ensembles will be flying in from as far away as Melbourne and Toronto to perform and music lovers can also expect unique collabarations, such as Ronald Brautigam and Isabelle van Keulen sharing the SummerNights stage. Also look out for two SummerNights at the Moviesand the family favourite Disney in Concert.

Culinary delights

All this musical diversity should clearly not be taken in on an empty stomach, but thankfully even that is catered for. The Robeco Summer Restaurant in the Royal Concertgebouw offers a three-course dinner and smaller appetites are catered for at the Summer Café. There’s also the chance to grab a glass of bubbly and some sushi in the intermission.
