AlbinaAssisAfricano , Commissioner General, answered our questions, providing an overview of the value of the presence of his country at Expo Milano 2015: a vision that is rooted in tradition, but is directed towards a sustainable future.

What is your interpretation of the theme of Expo Milano 2015?

The theme of the Universal Exposition is well aligned with the "Millennium Goals" of the United Nations. Our concept "Food and Culture, Educate to Innovate" allows us to use our ancestral culture to find answers in terms of food production, food and other aspects that we project into a better and more sustainable future. Using the slogan "Educate to Innovate", we will show our vision of the future, focusing on the welfare of current generations and those to come, respecting the age-old practices that can make a positive contribution to the good diet.

What means do you use to communicate the theme of your participation in Expo Milano 2015?

We will develop a multi-media exhibition that includes classical museum design, multimedia installations and interactive devices. In addition, we will offer a full and varied cultural program with shows, culinary events, workshops, book presentations, exhibitions of visual arts. We will extend our participation beyond the confines of the Exhibition site, there will be small events in the city of Milan, as well as forums and we will develop exchange programs between Angolans and Italians. It is very important for us to show the potential of the country and our investment policies.
