【Introduction】:On Nov 4, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 28 new cases of confirmed infections, 3 new cases of suspected infections and no deaths.

On Nov 4, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 28 new cases of confirmed infections (20 imported cases, 8 in Shanghai municipality, 4 in Sichuan province, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Henan province, 1 in Beijing municipality, 1 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Fujian province; 8 indigenous cases, all in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region), 3 new cases of suspected infections (all were imported cases, 2 in Shanghai and 1 in Inner Mongolia), and no deaths. 20 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 956 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on Nov 4, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,480 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,155 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 325 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on Nov 4, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,115 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,081 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 400 confirmed cases (including 9 cases in serious condition) and 4 suspected cases. 865,747 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 15,933 were still under medical observation.

On Nov 4, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 24 new asymptomatic cases (including 22 imported cases). 17 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (all were imported cases) and 10 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (including 2 imported cases). As of 24:00 on Nov 4, 825 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 485 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on Nov 4, 5,962 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,348 in Hong Kong (106 had died and 5,118 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 568 in Taiwan (7 had died and 521 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
