【Introduction】:On Nov 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 8 new cases of confirmed infections (7 imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Liaoning province and 1 in Guangdong province; 1 indigenous case in Tianjin municipality), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths.
On Nov 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 8 new cases of confirmed infections (7 imported cases, 4 in Shanghai municipality, 1 in Shanxi province, 1 in Liaoning province and 1 in Guangdong province; 1 indigenous case in Tianjin municipality), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 37 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 379 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases decreased by 1.
As of 24:00 on Nov 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 3,723 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 3,412 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 311 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on Nov 17, the National Health Commission had received reports of 86,369 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 81,411 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 324 confirmed cases (including 3 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 874,466 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 13,974 were still under medical observation.
On Nov 17, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 5 new asymptomatic cases (including 4 imported cases). 59 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 21 imported cases) and 2 (imported cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on Nov 17, 456 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 387 imported cases).
As of 24:00 on Nov 17, 6,121 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 5,470 in Hong Kong (108 had died and 5,212 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 46 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 605 in Taiwan (7 had died and 539 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
