Over 1,000 businesses and organizations from 86 countries and regions have confirmed that they will participate in this year's China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), according to the organizers.
With the theme of "Global Services, Shared Prosperity," this year's CIFTIS will be held both online and offline with one general exhibition and eight featured exhibitions, covering a wide range of subjects including cultural services, financial services, winter sports, tourism, and education.
Exhibitors from around the world will showcase their latest products, technologies, services, and business solutions through on site exhibitions and online displays.
The organizers said there will also be forums, conferences, workshops, and other supporting activities held in parallel with the exhibitions.
The cultural services exhibition will highlight Beijing's cultural sector, media development, development of industrial parks, as well as the rich cultures of countries along the Belt and Road.
The financial services exhibition will capture the new trends of international trade in financial services, and introduce China's reform and opening up in the financial sector.
The winter sports exhibition will touch upon the integrated development of sports with technology, culture, finance, and tourism.
The tourism service exhibition will publish a guideline on tourism recovery and development under the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss the future development of health tourism.
The education exhibition will mainly introduce China's education policies and major achievements, and foster a platform for international cooperation.
This year's CIFTIS is also opening up a public health and epidemic prevention section to display products and technologies for COVID-19 testing, treatment, contact tracing, and logistics. The section will also showcase applications of traditional Chinese medicine in epidemic control.
As the world's largest service trade fair, CIFTIS has been held six times and helped to reach deals worth over US$500 billion.
