The second pyramid is the tomb of King Khafre, Khufu's son.It was built in 2650 BC, with temples and other annexes and the famous Sphinx in front of the tower. The third pyramid is the tomb of King Menkaure, Khufu's grandson. It was built around 2600 BC.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities is one of the most famous museum around the world, with a collection of more than 300,000 cultural relics and 63,000 items on display. The collection ranges from prehistoric times to ancient, medieval, and imperial times. Greek and Roman art works can also be seen here. Mummies made thousands of years ago can be seen lying in gold and jewel-encrusted coffins, still intact.
