Recently, the Jinan Municipal Administration of Cultural and Tourism launched four practical measures to help the tourism industry reduce pressure, boost motivation, and increase vitality.
The four practical measures are as follows. Firstly, the administration actively implements the policy of temporarily refunding policy of the warranty-bond to the travel agencies. At present, it has refunded 9,2642 million yuan, effectively alleviating their financial pressure.
Secondly, the administration actively promotes the orderly reopening of A-level tourist attractions. It formulates the “Instructions of the Orderly Reopening of A-level Tourist Attractions” and the“Guidelines for A-level Tourist Attractions in Jinan to Prevent and Control COVID-19”, directing the attractions to prevent and control the epidemic and reopen orderly. Until now, six A-level scenic spots have already reopened, such as “the best spring in the world”--Baotu Spring and the Qianfo Hill Scenic Area.
Thirdly, the administration distributes vouchers to tourism attractions, travel agencies, places for art performances, bookshops, and other cultural and tourism enterprises to promote consumption.
Lastly, the administration will issue “a package of policies”.At present, the Administration is studying and formulating suggestions about coping with the influence of the COVID-19 and promoting the stable development of the industry of culture and tourism. It is collating a series of policies and measures proposed by the country, the province of Shandong and the city of Jinan. It will help the enterprises to make full use of the supporting policies, including finance subsidies and the reduction of tax, social insurance premiums, rent, and utility charges to overcome difficulties.
