To reduce the side effects that COVID-19 brought to cultural tourism enterprises, Guang'an, Sichuan took multi-measures to promote the recovery of the cultural tourism market through planning cultural tourism projects, stimulating consumption , increasing advertisements etc recently.
In the planning of cultural tourism projects, which was based on the city's cultural tourism weaknesses and future development needs, Guang'an seized the special policy "window period" that launched by the central and Sichuan Province to prevent epidemic and stabilize economic growth , which was supported by projects, focused on infrastructure, social livelihood, industrial development, environmental protection, and other aspects, these projects were planned elaborately to gain more supports from policies, projects and finance. At present, the city had planned a total of 46 projects and 96 projects for reservation.
To stimulate potential consumption of the cultural tourism, Guang'an made full use of new media platforms such as tiktok, Wechat and weibo to launch online activity "Visiting Guang'an via Internet"; integrated resources such as tourism, intangible cultural heritage, cultural heritage and anti-epidemic artistic works, invited top-level narrators, excellent guides and heirs of intangible cultural heritage to make short videos to promote cultural tourism routes, scenic spots and cultural artistic works online; planned and launched the "Top Ten" series of "non-contact" cultural tourism products such as "Top Ten Flower-Appreciation Sites" and "Top Ten Tourism Products"; proposed to launch a series of activities like rural carnivals, art festivals, lantern fairs, more than 20 activities to stimulate the demand for post-epidemic travel.
In addition, Guang'an also actively promoted the city's cultural tourism marketing policy, supported cultural tourism enterprises to carry out various forms of advertisement activities after epidemic, supported the districts, cities and counties (parks) and key scenic spots to carry out cultural tourism-promoting activities in forms of orientation, union, mutual help, etc.; set the activity "Guang'an people visit Guang'an" as a carrier, encouraged ticket preferential activities for local citizens and special groups, and encouraged scenic spots to implement ticket-free policies for health care workers, in order to stimulate the growth of visitor source.
