Sunlight Rock Scenic includes Sunlight Rock, Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall and Musical Instrument Garden. Sunlight Rock, also called Huang Rock, is the well-known tourist spot of Xiamen. It is said that if you don’t visit Sunlight Rock, you have never been to Xiamen.

Sunlight Rock, located at the top of the Longtou Mountain in the south of Gulongyu Island, is composed of two big stones with one vertically and one transversely standing against each other. The altitude of Sunlight Rock is 92.68 meters high and is the highest peak of Gulangyu Island. The big stones on the mountain are piled up forming the caves and gullies. Trees are so flourishing and so many pavilions are hiding behind each other. When Zheng Chenggong, the national hero, recaptured Taiwan, he once stationed troops here and there are many footprints of the ancestors left. Going up the stairs, there are Lianhua Temple, Zheng Chenggong Longtou Stronghold, ancient places of Zheng Chenggong operating his navy and other famous spots with carved Chinese characters. Standing at the top of the mountain, you will see the whole scenery of Xiamen, Gulangyu Island, Dadan Island and Erdan Island.
