Stone Buddha Temple, located in Baizhuang village，Daiwang sub-district, Ma county, was firstly build in 948- the 13th year during the reign of Tianfu in Later Han Dynasty. The temple gained fame after the large-scale of repair in the third year during the reign of Dading in Jin Dynasty and the eighth year during the reign of Zhengde in Ming Dynasty. According to the records on steles, Stone Buddha lies south to Huangjin, north to Taihang Mountain, west to a stream and east to Long Mountain, showing superior location and a good Buddhist connection. In the 1930s, Shi Zhuzhai, who came from Grand Xiangguo Monastery，Kaifeng, became the master of Stone Buddha Temple, which made a great contribution to promoting Buddhism. When he passed away, there were 28 crystal relics left, which has been seen as Buddhist treasures. Until now, Stone Buddha Temple is the only Pure Land Sect temple in Jiaozuo, and also the biggest Pure Land Dojo in the north Henan province.
