The facility is located about 18 kilometers to the southeast of Wuzhi County. The main scene spots include the first gate of People's Victory Headwork, 30th Anniversary Opening’s Memorial and Yellow River wetland etc. The People's Victory Headwork, which has been the first large-scale Irrigation Water Conservancy Project since the founding of new China, began full operation in April, 1952. Chairman Mao paid a visit here on October 31, 1952. Jiang Zemin, the former General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, state President and also the chairman of China's Central Military Commission, had a visit on June 20, 1999.
