The Jingying Temple scenic spot is about 35 kilometers away from Jiaozuo city, with a total area of about 30 square kilometers. The name of Jingying is related to the millennium ancient temple “Jing Ying temple” of Buddhism. It is the Holy Land for the elegant people of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism for self-cultivation since ancient times, and the scenic spot is picturesque. The scenic spot is composed of eight main scenic sites (more than 100 natural sights), namely : Five-Dragon Cave, YunQuan River, Shuijingzhang, Shuanglonghui, Jingying Basin, Yellow Dragon Cave, Fairy valley and Wolong Gorge. The mountain of Jingying Temple runs northeast to southwest. The elevation of Matou Mountain (the peak) is 1259 meters. The coverage rate of primeval forest is over 98%, with more than 2000 kinds of plants. There are lush trees, green valley, prosperous flowers, and dense forest in the scenic spot. The mountains also have monkey species.

Monks in the Jingying Temple had the custom of practicing Chinese martial arts. One day, a monk created a new set of boxing by imitating the ape action in the Northern Song Dynasty. Because of power and flexibility, it was named as Ape Tongbei Boxing. Its core spirit is overcoming hardness with softness. Ape Tongbei Boxing includes 108 moves within 8 forms, which represent the spirit of Bagua (literally: "eight symbols") ---heaven, lake, fire, thunder, wind, water, mountain and earth. Ape Tongbei Boxing plays a very important role in China martial arts.

The classical gardens, holy temples, comfortable hotels and variable entertainment attract lots of tourists to appreciate natural and cultural beauty here.
