Chengdu to make Dujiangyan a satellite tourist resort

【Introduction】：2014, the city of Dujiangyan received 20 146 million tourists

In 2014, the city of Dujiangyan received 20.146 million tourists, bringing in tourist revenue of 9.18 billion yuan ($1.5 billion dollars) including admission fee of 0.3 billion yuan ($48 million dollars), the highest ever in history. Taking precedence over other areas in Chengdu, Dujiangyan has already been officially listed as Chengdu’s satellite tourist resort. The goal is to develop Dujiangyan into a powerful tourism economy and a new favorite for domestic visitors.

Dujiangyan will keep elevating its local tourism resources and move forward to modernization and internationalization. Tourism projects would be developed and more efforts would be put in the construction of Daqing tourism area. The former way of extensive management would also be replaced by a modern way, featuring standardization, industrialization and informatization. Last but not the least, the attraction and brand influence of tourism products would be improved to give Dujiangyan a competitive edge in both national and international markets.
