【Introduction】：Located in the Niutuozhai of Dongshan, the Taiyuan Liberation Memorial Hall was once one of the main battlefields in the liberation of Taiyuan.
Located in the Niutuozhai of Dongshan, the Taiyuan Liberation Memorial Hall was once one of the main battlefields in the liberation of Taiyuan. Because of its precipitous nature, it was called The Gate of Taiyuan. During the battle for Taiyuan, the PLA had a bloody fight for more than a month, occupied four main forts of Dongshan and finally overthrew 38 years’ rule by YanXishan. In order to remember the revolutionary martyrs and inspire the future generations, CPC Taiyuan Municipal Committee and Taiyuan Municipal People's Government decided to build a martyrs cemetery in 1959. Today, the Taiyuan Liberation Memorial Hall has become a lively classroom for traditional education and patriotism education.
