Norwegian Cruise Line, the innovator in global cruise travel with a 53-year history of breaking boundaries, has been named “World’s Leading Cruise Line” for the fourth consecutive year at the 2019 World Travel Awards (WTA).

The brand also claimed two additional top honours at WTA’s grand finale gala ceremony in Muscat, Oman, winning the categories of “World’s Leading Large Ship Cruise Line” for the eighth consecutive year, and for the seventh time, the title of “World’s Leading Cruise Line Website.”

Earlier this year the brand was named “Europe’s Leading Cruise Line,” for the twelfth consecutive year, “Caribbean’s Leading Cruise Line” for the seventh consecutive year, and “North America’s Leading Cruise Line” for the fourth year in a row.

“We are humbled and honoured to once again be recognised by our travel partners, guests and everyone who voted for us,” said Harry Sommer, incoming president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “These accolades are a representation of our brand’s continued commitment to providing guests superior service across our fleet of 17 ships and two resort-style destinations, Great Stirrup Cay and Harvest Caye.”

With the debut of Norwegian Encore, the newest innovative ship in the company’s fleet and part of the most successful class in the brand’s history, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to pioneer creative, unique and meaningful guest experiences. From its largest at sea go-kart racetrack and open-air laser tag arena to a wide variety of high-caliber dining venues and award-winning entertainment, the company is focused on providing guests the freedom and flexibility to design their dream holiday.

In 2020, Norwegian Cruise Line will unveil the most extensive bow-to-stern renovation in company’s history with the reimagined Norwegian Spirit. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s most recent and highly successful new builds, the updated elements on board Norwegian Spirit will take guest experiences to the next level. Norwegian Spirit will sail extended itineraries of eight to 24 days calling to some of the most desired destinations across three continents – Asia, Africa and Europe.
