The 2019 World Culture and Tourism Forum

From October 23rd to 24th, the 2019 World Culture and Tourism Forum is being held in Xi’an, Shaanxi. Themed on ‘Intelligent Integration of Culture and Tourism’, the forum is being hosted by the Xi’an Municipal People’s Government and Ctrip Group, and consists of the opening ceremony, keynote speeches, sub-forums, etc. About 1000 guests have been invited. Among them are overseas guests from 26 countries and more than 200 domestic industry and enterprise representatives. The ambassadors to China, domestic and overseas cultural travel elites, well-known experts and scholars have attended the forum to jointly discuss the frontier issues of world tourism development, and provide intellectual support for the promotion of sustainable development of the sector. As a special partner, the WTCF has participated in the forum for the second time. Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of WTCF said in his opening remarks that the forum is not only of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of Xi’an’s culture and tourism industry, but also critical to the sustainable development of world tourism. WTCF hopes to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with members such as Xi’an and Ctrip, and comprehensively enhance the influence of China’s tourism on the development of world tourism.
