MSC Cruises said it will charter two of its ships to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament in Doha.
The ships will serve as floating hotels with a combined capacity of 4,000 staterooms.
The two ships are the MSC Europa, which will be delivered in 2022, and the MSC Poesia.
Qatar said the cruise ships will be served by shuttle buses that take fans to Qatar’s transport infrastructure, including Doha Metro, from where they will be able to access stadiums, fan zones and other attractions.
The one-month World Cup tournament opens Nov. 21, 2022.
