British Airways will make Portland, Oregon, its 27th U.S destination next June.
BA will fly five times per week between Portland and London Heathrow, starting June 1. The service will be the lone year-round route between Oregon’s biggest city and the U.K. Delta has been flying Portland-Heathrow seasonally since 2017.
BA will operate the route with joint venture partner American Airlines, using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with business, premium economy and economy classes.
Meanwhile, United will launch a new West Coast route to Ireland, flying daily San Francisco-Dublin service starting June 5. San Francisco will be United’s fourth destination from Dublin, joining three other United hubs: Washington Dulles, Newark and Chicago O’Hare.
United will compete against Aer Lingus on the route and will operate the flights with the 787-8 Dreamliner.
