Economic stakeholders, social, cultural and educational bodies and the seven political groups will all be involved in a working group to establish a major city agreement to define the recovery and overcome the crisis caused by Covid-19.

The first meeting of the board for the so-called Barcelona Agreement will be on Tuesday, 28 April. The main goals are to:
·Relaunch the city in socio-economic and civic spheres.
·Guarantee municipal finance.
·Move forward with criteria on social equity and justice.
·Make the city more liveable and resilient.
·Protect the city’s international reputation.
·Promote public-private collaboration.
·Exploit the potential of the urban and metropolitan area.
At the same time, a work group is being set up with the municipal groups on the City Council to establish a new consensus for the municipal budget, geared towards the social and economic recovery in 2020 and 2021.
