Athens Festival. It is being organized since 1955, during the summer season (June-September), at the open - air Romaic Herod Atticus Odeon (Herodion). It is one of the most important festivals in Europe, as every year it hosts some of the greatest national and international groups and artists of classical and modern music, opera, dance and theater. Simultaneously some other events of the Festival take place in Lycabetus Theater and in other concert and theater venues of the city.
