The living museum of Greek dance, since 1953. Garden theater on Philopappou Hill, opposite the Acropolis, giving performances every evening of the summer season. Company of 65 dancers and musicians. Dance school the year round, with special classes on Greek dance for foreigners. Visits to the collection of 2000 museum costumes, by appointment. A public-benefit institution subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and the Greek National Tourism Organisation (G.N.T.O.), under the auspices of the Municipality of Athens.
