Chongqing Museum of Nature History is a comprehensive museum of natural history in China that is located at No. 42, Wenxingwan, Beibei District, Chongqing. The predecessor of the museum was West China Academy of Sciences. In 1944, West China Museum was founded. Since 1949, it was successively reconstructed into Southwest People’s Museum of Sciences, Southwest Museum of Natural History, Nature Department of Chongqing Municipal Museum. In 1981, it was renamed the Museum of Natural History.
