Introduction
Xiamen University was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, renowned leader of patriotic overseas Chinese, in 1921. It was the first university set up by an overseas Chinese in modern Chinese history and is one of a group of high-standard universities that the Chinese government aims to nurture in the 21st century. It covers an area of 1.46 million square meters and has highlights such as Furong Lake, Qingrengu Reservoir, Museum of Anthropology and the Lu Xun Memorial.
How to get there
Its western entrance is 100 meters from Xiadaxicun Station, which can be reached on Bus Routes: 22, 29, 47, 48, 87, 96, 501, 503, 520, 531, 616, 618, 809, Xia 2, Xia 20 and Xia 59. Its southern entrance is accessible by alighting at Xiada Station, which can be reached on Bus Routes: 1, 15, 18, 21, 29, 45, 47 and 71.
