Guan Yinqiao Pedestrian Street is the political, economic and cultural center of Jiangbei district of Chongqing, as well as a commercial center in the northern part of Chongqing.
With an advantageous geographical position and convenient traffic, the street is just 15 minutes from Jiangbei Airport, Longtousi Railway Station, Chongqing Railway Station, Chaotianmen Port, Jiangbei town (the center business district of Chongqing) and Cuntan International Container Dock. The whole street is flanked by Guanyinqiao Square, Paradise Walk, Jialing Park and Sun Valley, which is under construction.
Located in Jiangbei district of Chongqing, Guan Yinqiao Pedestrian Street is a famous commercial street covering a vast area. It has the highest rate of greening in Southwest China.
Forty percent of the pedestrian street is a public space area measuring roughly 200,000 square meters, with commercial buildings covering an area of 30,000 square meters and a 400-meter-long commercial pedestrian street. Aiming to build an international business center, the Paradise Walk, integrating shopping, leisure, catering and entertainment, owns two major department stores, two large supermarkets, three leisure landscape squares, a film city with various theaters and a large parking lot with hundreds of parking spaces. As Chongqing’s biggest shopping plaza with the most abundant operations, it boasts various shopping facilities such as department stores, supermarkets, specialty stores and hypermarkets. With a construction area of about 140,000 square meters, it features an amazing combo of shopping, entertainment, leisure and dining, including one hypermarket; three five-star cinemas including UME International Cinema (Jiangbei store), Chongqing Wanda Cinema (Jiangbei store) and Huayi Brothers Cinema (Jinyuan sleepless city store); a professional sporting goods chain store; two major department stores; three plazas for landscape viewing; more than 30 restaurants; over 150 boutique stores; and a large parking lot with 680 parking spaces. It is the largest and most complete shopping center in Chongqing. It is among Chongqing’s eight new landmarks and China's top 10 famous commercial pedestrian streets. After nearly five years of operation, the Paradise Walk has been favored by many international brands and corporations, such as Far Eastern, UME International Cinema, Starbucks, Haagen-Dazs, BMW Lifestyle, Sisley, Rolex, Tudor, Guess, Mango, Mini Cooper and I.T. It is a favorite haunt for young people and hipsters. Paradise Walk also carries out activities frequently, establishing good cooperation relations with the British Consulate and Hong Kong Tourism Board and giving Chongqing citizens access to various cultures while enjoying a comfortable shopping experience.
